A short but majorly terrifying horror game

Reaping Sins is a short and direct-to-the-point horror game that will only take up five minutes of your time. This free-to-play indie title revolves around the premise of a hero dealing with crippling nightmares that feel too realistic to just be dreams.

Similar to games like No Players Online and The Dark Occult, Reaping Sins requires you to pay close attention to your surroundings and the interactive elements around you. Doing so will allow you to find clues that will lead you to better understand the dark and atmospheric location you’ve suddenly been placed in.

Check the papers

With a brief five-minute gameplay duration, Reaping Sins presents players with a unique experience that leaves them wanting more while still allowing them to enjoy a tension-filled, heart-racing adventure. While it may be a short experience, it leaves an impression with its unexpected moments and original narrative. The newspaper within the game serves as a crucial element, drawing players deeper into the story.

In order to add to the terrifying atmosphere of the game, it also employs some well-timed jumpscares that keep players on their toes at all times. Paired with immersive 3D graphics, this indie title reels players in with its chilling aura. The game also makes use of simple controls to allow players to focus on the story and their surroundings rather than spending half of the gameplay working out how to interact with objects.

However, it’s important to note that this game is still working on optimizations in order for players with lower-specced devices to be able to enjoy the thrill, as well. You’ll also need to go through a lengthy installation process in order to avoid issues. Players are required to go to their device’s settings and allow downloads from unknown sources to prevent their OS from blocking the game files.

An immersive experience

Reaping Sins stands as an impressive short horror experience that accomplishes its goal of delivering a memorable and thrilling ride. While there are some extra steps needed for you to properly enjoy the game, the immersive experience paired with the chilling storyline makes it worth all the work. Not to mention, the use of a unique in-game item and the numerous jumpscares add to the overall appeal.

Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
